ABOUT TIP TO TAIL

Tip To Tail Dog Training and Walking is dedicated to helping people and their four legged family members build happy and strong relationships through positive reinforcement and leadership.

Our furry family members need us to be good leaders giving them direction and teaching them self control. The cornerstone of our program is teaching our dogs how to control their own impulses NOT by force but by teaching them how to choose the right behaviors. Being a good leader does not need to be harsh but requires us to be confident, consistent and communicate what is acceptable behavior. Tip to Tail Dog Training and Walking only uses force-free, modern science based tools and techniques. Most dogs with behavior issues are the result of accidentally rewarding bad behaviors rather than using positive reinforcement to communicate good behaviors.

Services are available through virtual meetings at this time. In person sessions will be offered on an as needed basis depending on the needs of dogs and their owners.

Puppy Package

Teaching your dog at a young age basic manners will allow you and your pup to have more adventures out in the world. Tip to Tail Dog Training will teach you how to communicate with your puppy to build a strong bond for years to come.

During our sessions, we will discuss how to navigate crate training, setting house rules, socializing your puppy and address any issues you may be having with your pup. Below are listed the behaviors we will concentrate on in our sessions together:

Basic Manners Package

If you have adopted a new dog or are struggling to teach your dog how to control himself, act appropriately when greeting new people, walking on a leash or just stop jumping on you let Tip to Tail Dog Training help. Together we can build a program to help you achieve your goals. We will begin the process with an assessment to see how you and your dog are communicating now and how to best teach your dog better manners and listen when it is most needed.

During our sessions, we will concentrate on improving your communication with your dog, review behaviors from previous sessions, concentrate on teaching your dog behaviors to help him or her become a well mannered family member. We will also have time to discuss any issues you may be having with your pup and celebrate all of y our progress.

Each dog and family are different, depending on your goals and your dog's current manners, your package may include some of the following behaviors.

Behavior Modification Assessment

If your dog gets anxious when you leave, reacts to other dogs while walking on a leash, or is timid around strangers we can develop a plan to help your dog. Each dog progresses at their own pace so no one plan will fit every dog. Our first meeting will include assessing your dog's behavior and determining a plan to move forward.

Walk and Train Package

This package is designed to give your dog one on one time with his/her trainer. This time together will give your dog personalized attention to progress quicker in learning new behaviors and instilling good manners.

Virtual Training

Currently, we are in an environment that requires us to stay safe by distancing ourselves from one another. Luckily, we can do virtual training through live video for you and your dog to get the coaching and instruction you need to address your training or behavior issues.
